Google Minesweeper with Easy/Hard cloud leaderboards—click to shovel, press Space to flag, and chase faster clears.

A Google-themed Minesweeper built inside Scratch with cloud-synced best times for Easy and Hard modes.
Recreates Google Minesweeper’s colorful tiles, mine counter, and timer entirely in the Scratch player.
Easy and Hard timers post to Scratch cloud data when you are signed in, keeping runs visible to the community.
The creator reset illegitimate Easy-mode times and fixed Hard-mode bugs (Dec 2021) to keep leaderboards accurate.
Click the green flag or the Go button, then optionally switch to full screen for a clearer board.
Highlights taken from the project notes and fixes.
An illegitimate Easy-mode best time was cleared to keep the board fair for new runs.
A Hard-level issue was fixed and the cloud high score reset so new records are valid.
Highlights based on the Google Minesweeper ruleset: no-guess logic, tuned boards, and combo clicks.
Uses a “no guessing” algorithm that removes classic 50/50 situations so clears stay deterministic.
Easy/Medium/Hard use different board sizes and mine counts; web and mobile layouts are tuned separately.
Supports combined click (left+right or middle) to chord satisfied numbers quickly.
Number reveals play distinct pitches—the bigger the number, the higher the sound.
Follow these quick steps to start, flag, and record valid times.
Press the green flag (or Go) to begin. Use the stop button then green flag to reset the board if needed.
Left-click to shovel a covered tile and expose numbers that show how many mines touch that square.
Hover a tile and press Space to place or remove a flag, preventing accidental clicks.
Use the mine counter to see how many mines remain and watch the timer that determines leaderboard standings.
Stay accurate, post valid times, and mirror Google Minesweeper’s flow.
Each number counts adjacent mines (3x3 area). Use them to confirm safe shovels before chasing speed.
Use Space instead of right-click so touchpads and Chromebooks avoid misclicks on mines.
Best times matter more than scores—clear safely but keep momentum to climb the cloud leaderboard.
Easy-mode times were reset when a record looked illegitimate, and Hard-mode highs were cleared after a bug fix (Dec 2021).
If you face a guessy layout, stop then restart to chase a faster, cleaner run.
